I'm not sure if this constitutes as a post or not but I thought these two youtube videos were very cute and had to do with improv. Although they don't have to do with making music randomly together the idea to make life into a musical was a great idea. Making others happy with these "spontaneous" bursts of music is something that can relate to our class. We spend our time making each other feel good about themselves by playing music and telling them they're wonderful. Hope these make you smile!

ReplyDeleteI looooove the Grocery Store musical!! I would totally join in with someone if they started doing this in Walmart! I love things like flash mob and random dancing or singing. It is a way to spontaneous and fun even in a place such as the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteLet me just begin by saying, our seminar is the BEST. Getting to watch videos for homework seems pointless to outsiders (trust me, I am being made fun of as we speak). But I find it both entertaining and educational - the value of integrating random musical moments into everyday activities is unrecognized. Watching the expressions of happiness on the faces of so many bystanders seems telling. Alas, happiness is no longer a primary societal goal.
